Following Ecuador’s devastating 2016 earthquake, Living Water Industries joined Living Water World Missions to build water purification systems in the heavily impacted town of Pedernales. This disaster response project delivered clean drinking water when it was needed most, supporting recovery efforts and community resilience.
In April of 2016, Living Water Industries took part in a humanitarian disaster relief effort following a powerful earthquake in Ecuador, the most severe the country had experienced in nearly seventy years. Living Water World Missions & Living Water Industries’ team travelled to the town of Pedernales, which was one of the communities most heavily impacted by the earthquake.
The mission focused on restoring access to clean water in an area where infrastructure had been significantly damaged. By constructing two water purification systems, the team helped support immediate water needs for the local population during the recovery period following the disaster.
Emergency Water Response Efforts
Disaster relief projects require fast, practical water solutions that can be implemented in challenging conditions. Living Water Industries contributed its water system experience to support emergency response efforts in Pedernales, helping deliver dependable water purification in a region facing widespread disruption and limited resources.
Participation in this mission was made possible through funding from additional sources, as well as water system and tank installation work completed by Living Water Industries in Arizona. This allowed the project to be carried out as a non-profit humanitarian effort, applying professional water expertise to support communities affected by natural disasters.
